I absolutely love Olive Buckets as a functional and pretty design staple. One of our qualifiers for “design staple” is something that is timeless and can transition in your home from season to season and location to location. Basically, we are cheap, and we want to get the most BANG for our designing BUCK!
Anyway, some of my very favorite bloggers agree. Especially Ann from On Sutton Place (http://www.onsuttonplace.com/
Notice how her mats change with the seasons too? Oh my gosh I’m all heart eyes over here. Someone stop me-for my own good.
Next up is Marian from Miss Mustard Seed. She’s always on her game, and has a heart for business, community and love that just speak to me.
I digress…her ability to turn practical into pretty is really admirable and that’s exactly what she does here-with Olive Buckets!
What I really love about Cottage Oaks’ example is she kept it so simple. No overwhelming step by step here. And, if you want to save a little dough: fill the bottom of the olive bucket with somethingother than pumpkins (think free materials like those weekly mailers we all get and toss!), then just pile them in the top.
These Olive Buckets are so great for indoor decor as well!
Take a look at the following winter takes:
Each fabulous in its own way and can be added to or subtracted from to just cover winter, or the holidays as well!
